For true foodies, there is nothing more exciting than trying out a new restaurant, especially in a beautiful, fun location! Visiting a new restaurant gives you the opportunity to visit a new place that you have not been before as well as be introduced to some unique dishes and drinks that you have never tried. And, what is better than trying out a new place that you know is “foodie accredited?” This week, we’re featuring some of “Britt’s Best Bites’” favorite coastal locations that are an absolute must to add to your restaurant bucket list. If you are in any of the following areas, be sure to give these restaurants a try (you won’t regret it!):
South Shore: Greenside Grille in Hingham, MA
The Greenside Grille Restaurant opened in 2010 and is located at the gorgeous South Shore Country Club located in Hingham, MA. It is an upscale tavern that features classic American fare with a fun Italian twist. Greenside Grille serves lunch and dinner and also has a seasonal outdoor patio!
Cape Cod & Islands: Too’s Tavern in Sandwich, MA
Too’s Tavern is the newest addition to the Marshland Restaurant family, located next to Marshland Too in Sandwich, MA. This is the perfect spot to head to for a Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots or Celtics game. Not to mention, Too’s Tavern has 8 rotating taps and a fully stocked bar.
South Coast: Ella’s in East Wareham, MA
Ella’s is a wood-burning oven restaurant that offers European-inspiring seasonal cuisines and wine that ensures a homey and comfortable space with an open kitchen. Additionally, Ella’s offers brunch, lunch, dinner and a wide variety of different drinks and cocktails.
East Bay & Aquidneck Island: The Café at The Chanler in Newport, RI
The Café at The Chanler is an oceanfront restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island. Here they keep the New England tradition of locally influenced foods in mind at all times. Not to mention, most of the ingredients used are from local farmers, ranchers, gardeners, and fishmongers, offering the freshest and delicious entrees possible.
West Bay & South County: Celestial Café in Exeter, RI
The Celestial Café is a family-owned restaurant that has been open since 2002. Additionally, working closely with local farms and fisheries to ensure every entrée is as fresh as can be. Not only do they have an outstanding menu, but also several events, such as a seven-course brunch for Mother’s Day!
