Cheever Tavern in Norwell, Massachusetts is known for its flavorful, handmade food and drink that is always prepared with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients!

Whether you are dining inside, out on the deck, or beside the fire pit on the patio, you can always expect an equally tasteful and aesthetically pleasing setting when visiting Cheever Tavern.

Cheever Tavern is a contemporary American tavern that is situated in the historic Norwell Center, focusing on a nod to the past with a passion for today’s tastes.

The tavern was named after Pulitzer Prize winner, John Cheever, one of America’s premier authors of the 20th century. John Cheever was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, where he attended Thayer Academy and soon after published his first short story, “Expelled,” which focused on his time in school.
